Fastest Convertible McLaren: 765 LT Spider

The veil has been lifted on the Mclaren 765 LT Spider, which will be the fastest convertible ever produced by the British sports car manufacturer. The car will offer the same power figures as its coupe sibling, creating a new alternative for drivers who want to accelerate outdoors. Combining style and performance in a single vehicle, only 765 units of the 765 LT Spider will be produced.

McLaren 765 LT Spider Gets Lighter

80 kilograms lighter than its predecessor, the 720S Spider, the McLaren 765 LT Spider will be available for purchase with a net weight of 1388 kilograms. In contrast, it has almost 50 kilograms more than its coupe sibling due to the mechanical system that allows the roof to open. The car will come with a rigid chassis that cannot be twisted, and the roof, which can be opened and closed electronically, will be made of carbon fiber.

McLaren 765 LT Spider will share the same engine with the coupe version

Powered by the company's 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, the Mclaren 765 LT Spider will have 765 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. In contrast, the coupe-bodied model will be available with an updated version of the 7-speed automatic transmission, which is said to be much faster in gear shifts than before.

The acceleration data of the vehicle, which is expected to offer a much more enjoyable use in corners due to its lighter weight than the model it will replace, is also jaw-dropping. The convertible super sports convertible, which can complete 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.8 seconds, can pass 0-400 meters in 10 seconds. This makes the 765 LT Spider the fastest convertible sports car ever produced by the brand.

McLaren 765 LT Spider will come with many special parts

The McLaren 765 LT Spider will have special electronic software and will also be available with a titanium alloy exhaust system. With ultra-light alloy forged wheels and adaptive suspension, the vehicle, which will take the driving experience to the next level, looks as ambitious to stop as it goes. The vehicle, which gives confidence to its driver with carbon ceramic brake discs with 6-piston calipers at the front and 4-piston calipers at the rear, will also maintain safety in brisk driving.

McLaren will produce only 765 units of the car with a UK price of 310,500 pounds. Despite the limited production number and high price tag, the brand, which announced that the sales of the vehicles planned to hit the roads in 2021 have already been made, aims to position the car at the top of the product range.
