Bozcaada is one of the first places that comes to your mind, especially if the season is summer and you start to imagine entering the icy waters. With its thyme-scented steppes, vineyards, virgin bays and cool waters, it is addictive for peace and nature lovers. Almost everyone who comes to Bozcaada finds something about themselves. Thanks to the cookies whose fragrance overflows from the bakeries to the streets, the nostalgic cobblestone streets, the sparkling shopping stalls and of course the colorful walls where street art is valued, one wants to come back again and again. This year, Bozcaada, one of Turkey's most popular vacation destinations, will once again be adding a festival to its long list of island lovers.
Since 2017, the festival, where jazz harmonies mingle with the island's exquisite evenings, will continue to make visitors feel good this year.
This year's festival will be sponsored by Paribu and supported by Kendine Has, Volkswagen, Jack Lives Here, Metro Turkey, Organics by Red Bull. The 6th festival will be organized for the 6th time this year with the theme of healing and will meet with music lovers who come to enjoy Bozcaada between August 26-28. Especially in recent years, when the world has been plagued by illness and many people have lost loved ones, this year's festival focuses on the healing power of being part of a whole. It embraces the healing that comes from being together.
The names who will take the stage at the concerts have also been announced. Award-winning artist Shishani & Miss Catharsis stands out with its blend of soul, pop and indie rock notes. Also Max Plattner Trio and French band NOUT aim to be good for people. They aim to create a balance by appealing to the trinity of soul, mind and body. On the other hand, Yeni Türkü, one of Turkey's most established bands, and clarinet virtuoso Hüsnü Şenlendirici will also make an appearance at the festival with their jazz tunes.
Apart from these names, many more important music masters will take part in the festival. Almagest Quintet will create a jazz storm, while Guillaume Perret, one of the most important names of French jazz, and Volkan Öktem, one of the best drummers of Turkey, will share the same stage.
Bozcaada Jazz Festival will present to festival and music lovers a program that addresses multiple areas of interest within the scope of cultural policies, local and cultural history of the island, gastronomy, entrepreneurship, art and well-being. The KEŞİF program draws attention to the advocacy areas of gender equality, ecological transformation and accessibility.
Bozcaada is waiting for everyone for the festival. Those who have been longing for a good festival for a long time should definitely go.
