Sometimes movies take you far, far away from your seat. Sometimes you are so far away from the subject matter that you become immersed in the voice of an actor, and sometimes a city, a street, a place attracts you and you get carried away. There are movies that make you want to see the city they are about. Let's talk a little bit about the movies about unique cities that make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Midnight in Paris

One of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is home to Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the Bastille, the Louvre and many other historical monuments. It harbors art on every street and a story on every street. Paris, the city of love, is one of those rare cities that everyone wants to see at least once.

Woody Allen writes and directs Midnight in Paris, which will make you feel as if you are on the streets of this city. The movie stands out with its cast as well as its subject. In the movie; An American engaged couple comes to Paris for a vacation. Gill, a writer, is inspired by Paris and wants to write her book. And Gill finds himself in the old streets of Paris among the most accomplished artists.

In Bruges

Swans on the canals, medieval buildings casting their shadows on the cobblestones and, of course, indescribable chocolates. This is Bruges, this idyllic city in Northern Belgium, more touristy and more interesting than the capital of Brussels.

Ray and Ken are two hired killers in a movie about this extraordinary city. Sent on vacation to Bruges by his boss, Ray hates the city, but many surprises await him.

Run Lola Run

Berlin is the ideal destination for a city break in Europe. This bustling metropolis has great local food, a rich history, world-famous beer and some of the world's most remarkable sights and museums. If you haven't been to Berlin yet, you should put it on your bucket list as soon as possible. There are many movies about Berlin, but Run Lola Run is a very enjoyable movie that is highly recommended by those who have seen it. It is a movie with an extraordinary narrative in which the events turn back to the beginning every 20 minutes. Lola runs through the streets of Berlin, sometimes in the arches of the famous Oberbaumbrücke between Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, and sometimes on the street where the Deutsches Historisches Museum is located. You get so immersed in the movie that you want to be yourself running through the streets of Berlin.

Sometimes movies call you to that city and sometimes you watch a movie just for the city you love. What is your favorite film about your favorite city?
