Travel Route from Istanbul to Yalova

Yalova, which is only 167 square kilometers in area, is one of the most charming provinces of our country, where so much beauty fits in such a small place. Yalova, an important stop on the passage of civilizations from the Hittites to the Ottomans and only a few hours away from Istanbul, is a city full of both natural and cultural attractions, from its plateaus to its thermal springs, waterfalls and museums.
If you are planning to come to Yalova from outside Istanbul or from a distant city, you can easily reach Yalova by using the airports in the neighboring cities and renting a car from the airport. In this article, we set off from Istanbul and explore this beautiful city. We start our "A day in Yalova!" file by reminding that it takes an average of 2 hours between Istanbul and Yalova and that each of these beauties is actually very close to us.
Journey
When you set off from Istanbul in the morning, a little traffic will be waiting for you until Samandıra, but this road is almost completely empty, especially on Sundays. If you want to take a break and have breakfast somewhere as you approach the Gebze exit, you can choose Keyifli Valley, where you will be amazed by its wonderful view and nature.
First stop Highlands

After breakfast, you can cross the Osmangazi Bridge and continue on your way to Yalova. Let's first create a route towards a plateau. What do you say? You should definitely see the beauties of Delmece Plateau. Rather than the classical plateau roads, the asphalt road will allow you to reach it without any difficulty. We seem to guess that you will be intoxicated by the fresh air and scenery after arriving at the plateau. There is also a potable water source in the plateau where you will encounter a waterfall on the continuation of the dirt road. While you are here, you should definitely see the crater lake, the Bottomless Lake.
Healing waters

It is impossible to go to Yalova and not visit the thermal springs. Thermal district, which is frequented by many local and foreign tourists, is among the most important health tourism points of the country with its hot springs that are good for rheumatism, skin diseases, joint pains and many other diseases.
In the footsteps of the ancestor

Yalova, which is one of Atatürk's favorite and most visited places, has expressed many times that he was impressed by the hot springs and the beauty of its nature. Atatürk has 3 houses in this city. In 1929, the name of the mansion he had specially built is Yürüyen Köşk. When he saw that his beloved tree was being pruned because it was damaging the roof, he objected and ordered the mansion to be lifted from the foundation and transported by tram rail.
You can end your day with a short walk on Yalova Beach and complete this beautiful tour with a tiredness coffee in one of the cafes on the coastline.
