What are the procedures/controls to be performed when picking up the vehicle?

Car rentals have become a very popular option to meet the transportation needs of customers. However, there are some important procedures and controls to be considered when taking delivery of the vehicle. These checks are very important for the customer to use the rented vehicle safely and smoothly.

Checking the Documents:

As a first step, the customer must submit the necessary documents to the car rental company. Documents such as driver's license, ID card and credit card should be checked for completeness.

Vehicle Condition and Damage Control:

Before the vehicle is picked up, the general condition of the vehicle should be examined in detail. Existing damages and scratches should be documented and a written report on the condition of the vehicle should be kept to avoid any dispute between the renter and the renter.

Fuel Level Check:

When picking up the vehicle, the fuel level should be checked. Rental companies usually deliver the vehicle at a certain fuel level and expect the customer to return it at the same level.

Review of Rental Conditions:

The customer should carefully review the rental agreement and have a clear understanding of the rental terms. Details such as pricing, mileage limitations and return terms should be reviewed and understood.

Vehicle Equipment Check:

Check that the equipment in the vehicle is in working order. It should be ensured that important equipment such as air conditioning, lights, window opening and closing mechanisms are working properly.

Vehicle Insurance and Assurance Check:

The insurance status of the rented vehicle and the assurances offered to the customer should be reviewed. It should be clearly understood what services are offered in case of possible accidents or vehicle breakdowns.

Understanding Payment Terms:

The customer should fully understand the payment terms and be aware of any additional fees or penalties. Possible charges for late returns, additional mileage, etc. should be known in advance.

Carefully performing all of these checks will ensure safe and trouble-free use of the vehicle. With transparent communication and detailed control during the rental process, customers will both ensure their own safety and prevent possible disputes.
